The Ledyard Company was established in 1929 as a local distributor of food, equipment and supplies to restaurants and institutions on the Central Coast. Since that time, our independently owned company has evolved into a major distributorship serving Central and Northern California. Ledyard now provides a complete line of frozen and refrigerated foods, fresh produce, fresh dairy, groceries, chemical solutions, janitorial supplies, equipment, smallwares and tabletop supplies. We also offer our customers specialized programs in coffee service, warewashing and laundry systems.

Ledyard Company is a member of Pocahontas Foods, USA -- A nationwide cooperative network of foodservice distributors. Our affiliation gives us access to the tremendous benefits of group purchasing power and a level of quality control that is unsurpassed anywhere in the country. The Pocahontas brand name is recognized for its excellence throughout the foodservice industry.

Perhaps because we are an independently owned and operated business, The Ledyard Company has developed a unique philosophy towards the industry it serves. We view ourselves as partners with hundreds of food service operations, that depend on a consistent, quality-conscious distributor to help them meet the day-to-day challenges they face. The Ledyard Company has twice been awarded the "Associate Member of the Year" award from the California Restaurant Association's Santa Cruz Chapter (SCARA), and has received the "Distributor of the Year" award from the Monterey Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and most recently Ledyard Company was awarded Distributor of the Year from numerous buying organizations. These awards have demonstrated that our "partnership" concept has been recognized and appreciated by our customers for more than 75 years.
